April 2027 Astrology Calendar: Every Transit, Date and Time

April 2027 ends the long retrograde season of winter. Mars turns direct on the first day of the month, Jupiter follows on April 13, and for almost four weeks after that every planet moves forward. The Aries New Moon and a Sun–Saturn conjunction make it the most practical month of the spring for new beginnings. All times below are UTC, calculated with the Swiss Ephemeris; the table above converts them to your local time.

The big picture for April 2027

Since January, Mars retrograde has slowed action and Jupiter retrograde has slowed growth. April releases both. Mars stations direct at 20°55′ Leo on April 1 and Jupiter at 16°59′ Leo on April 13. Between April 13 and Pluto’s retrograde station on May 8 there is no retrograde planet at all, a rare clear stretch for launches, moves and agreements.

The sky also supports discipline. Jupiter trines Saturn on April 3, and the Sun meets Saturn in Aries on April 7, right after the New Moon. Ambition is easier to turn into a concrete plan. In the second half of the month the Sun moves into Taurus, Venus enters Aries and Mercury travels from Aries to Taurus, ending the month with intense squares to Pluto.

Week by week

April 1–7: Mars direct, Jupiter trine Saturn, the Aries New Moon

Mars stations direct on April 1 at 14:08 UTC. As with any station, the day itself can feel stuck; momentum builds over the following week. Jupiter, still retrograde, trines Saturn on April 3 at 17°08′ Leo and Aries, a supportive aspect for long-term plans that combine optimism with structure.

The New Moon on April 6 at 23:51 UTC falls at 16°57′ Aries. It suits intentions about independence, health, courage and personal projects. The Sun trines Jupiter in the early hours of April 7 and meets Saturn at 17:18 UTC at 17°40′ Aries: a serious, responsible start that rewards commitment.

April 8–14: Mercury in Aries, Jupiter direct

Mercury enters Aries on April 8 and sextiles Uranus on April 10. On April 11 the Sun trines Mars and Mercury meets Neptune at 4°45′ Aries: energetic but idealistic, so check facts before you act on a vision. Mercury sextiles Pluto in the early hours of April 13, and Jupiter stations direct at 02:11 UTC at 16°59′ Leo. From this moment all planets are direct.

April 15–21: Mercury meets Saturn, Taurus season and the Scorpio Full Moon

Mercury trines Jupiter on April 18 and meets Saturn on April 19 at 19°09′ Aries: excellent days for contracts, plans and serious conversations. April 20 is busy: Venus enters Aries at 03:57 UTC, the Sun enters Taurus at 07:18 UTC, and the Full Moon peaks at 22:27 UTC at 0°36′ Scorpio. It highlights shared money, intimacy, trust and what you are ready to let go of. Mercury trines Mars on April 21, giving the words of the Full Moon a constructive outlet.

April 22–30: Venus meets Neptune, squares to Pluto

Venus sextiles Uranus on April 23 and meets Neptune on April 24 at 5°12′ Aries: romantic, inspired and a little unrealistic. Mercury enters Taurus that night. Venus sextiles Pluto on April 26. The month ends with pressure: the Sun squares Pluto on April 27 and Mercury squares Pluto on April 28, raising questions of control at work and in groups. The Sun meets Mercury at 8°21′ Taurus on April 28, starting a new Mercury cycle.

Retrogrades in April 2027

• All other planets are direct. Pluto is the next planet to turn retrograde, on May 8, 2027.
