• Generate natal charts: Your birth data is used to calculate astronomical positions and to generate astrological interpretations via AI.
• Process payments: Payment information is handled by Stripe (we never store your full card details).
• Prevent fraud and ensure security: Using browser fingerprints and IP addresses.
• Store your generated charts: So you can access them again in the future.
• Improve our services: Through analytics, only if you consent to cookies.
• Localization: Remember your language preference.
• Comply with legal obligations: For example, retention of payment records for tax and accounting.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share your data only with trusted service providers necessary to operate Astrooly:

• OpenAI (USA): Your birth data (name, date, time, location) is sent to OpenAI's API to generate astronomical calculations and astrological interpretations. Data transfer is protected by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs). See OpenAI Privacy Policy.
• Stripe (USA): Payment processing and transaction data, protected by SCCs. See Stripe Privacy Policy.
• Google Analytics (USA): Website analytics and usage statistics (only with your consent). See Google Privacy Policy.
• Meta Pixel (USA): Marketing analytics and conversion tracking (only with your consent). See Meta Privacy Policy.
• Legal authorities: When required by law or to protect our rights.

International Data Transfers: Some service providers are located in the United States. We ensure appropriate safeguards through Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission.

5. Data Storage and Retention

Your birth data and generated natal charts are stored securely in our database. We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

Data Retention Periods

• Birth data and natal charts: Stored indefinitely to allow future access. You can request deletion at any time.
• Payment records: Retained for 7 years as required by Czech tax law.
• Browser fingerprints: 365 days (astrooly_client_id cookie).
• Analytics data: Google Analytics (typically up to 26 months), Meta Pixel (up to 90 days), according to their policies.
• IP addresses and logs: 90 days for security purposes.

6. Your Rights

Under GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right of access: Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.
• Right to rectification: Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Right to erasure: Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements for payment records).

7. Automated Decision-Making and AI Processing

Astrooly uses OpenAI's artificial intelligence to generate your natal chart interpretations. This involves automated processing of your birth data to produce personalized astrological content. While the astronomical calculations are algorithmic, the interpretations are AI-generated and should be considered for entertainment purposes only.

You have the right to object to automated decision-making. However, this processing is necessary to provide the service you requested.

8. Children's Privacy

Our service is not intended for children under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately so we can delete such information.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will post the updated policy on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
